After breaking its own petition rules with a late response, the Government issued an inadequate response (here: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7174…). The Government is supposed to answer 10,000-person petitions within 21 days but there’s still no answer to this one after 59 days. Maybe they can’t find anyone who understands why Starmer would hand foreign and defence policy control to the EU and pay them for the privilege.

Keir Starmer is proposing a return to EU alignment on defence and foreign policy. This inevitably means using the Conservative Party’s outrageous 2019 alignment plans (EU rules are inflexible on this). This ⬇️ from 2019 refers to the Conservative betrayal on defence intelligence.

The EU defence architecture, that is the set of political mechanisms created mainly since 2016, has many overlaps with NATO instead of being complementary to NATO.
This is happening all over again under Starmer’s Labour.
Theresa May has agreed something which she said “no UK Prime Minister could ever agree”. The same brazen deception is happening over defence. The UK has been lined up for the European Defence Fund which requires all May’s other EU Defence concessions to be enacted!
