Why do people care about animal welfare so much? Why do they think we should take care of farmed animals before killing them, but are not willing to extend their care to not killing?
“Nature” is no “mother”. Don’t be in awe of or revere it or romanticize it. It’s just a shitty place full of agonizing suffering, death, and loss, a hellworld, for the vast majority of sentient beings. It’s getting remade.
