While Nnoitra may be born as an Adjuchas like Grimmjow, that had to fight much more to get stronger to reach the level of a VL, as shown in the panel of him with a pile of Hollow corpses... It would make sense why he's so obsessed with "survival of the fittest", being stronger..
I may have a theory about why Espadas like Grimmjow or Nnoitra are more hostile than the Espadas from number 4 and below, like Nel or Harribel For what I've understood they may be already born as Vasto Lorde like Ulquiorra, making them already strong enough to survive.
