Varda Space Industries
@VardaSpace
Varda is designing and building the infrastructure needed to make low Earth orbit accessible, from in-orbit production equipment to reliable reentry capsules.
Listen in tomorrow for the conversation between @ArmstrongDrew of @endpts and our own @adrian_radocea!
"The next five years could see some industries and commercial applications moving toward an autonomous model in space rather than having humans in the loop, simply because that's the commercial option that exists today."
After some success in space, Varda raises $187 million to expand ambitions arstechnica.com/space/2025/07/…
1/ Natural Capital @NatCapCentral is thrilled to co-lead @VardaSpace $187 MM Series C with @ShrugCap , alongside @foundersfund , Peter Thiel, @Lux_Capital , @khoslaventures , @tonsing & others. Also excited to announce that I have joined the board. @superjz @MLifschitz32
The W-4 capsule is equipped with Varda’s first homemade heatshield, but two of its tiles were made at @NASAAmes. This flight will compare the two types of C-PICA—Varda's rapid flight cadence allows researchers to quickly validate materials in the extreme environment of reentry.
On June 23, the @VardaSpace W-4 capsule launched aboard @SpaceX's Transporter 14 mission. Protected by a heat shield Varda made using tech developed by @NASAAmes, W-4’s re-entry to Earth will test the shield’s innovative materials at temps up to 7,000°F: go.nasa.gov/446Lqg4
We can confirm that the W-4 vehicle is healthy and operating nominally on orbit. Congratulations to the whole team on this achievement and thank you to our partners @FAANews @NASA @SpaceX @AusSpaceAgency @SouthernLaunch.
W-4 will launch soon! This is Varda’s third mission of 2025 and fourth overall. Watch Transporter-14's launch live from @SpaceX: spacex.com/launches/missi…

Build. Test. Fly. Repeat. The more often we fly, the more quickly in-space manufacturing becomes just another link in the global supply chain. Varda has two more missions planned for 2025.
And then there were 3. Thank you to @RocketLab, @SouthernLaunch, @SpaceX, and of course @AFResearchLab and @NASA.
