My ranking of Auburn logos. Top 2 rows are all-time classics. Nothing touches the basic AU. Never liked the tiger eyes, or really the ovals in general. The jumping tiger, originally on the 1987 South End Zone scoreboard, is not nearly scary enough. (Thanks @jkringer for link.)

Ranking Favorite Star Trek: Strange New Worlds characters: (Not available: Scotty is tier A, after Ortegas. Carol Kane's character is after Uhura on B. The two Kirk brothers are probably with Number One on tier C.)

My full review of FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS. No spoilers for first 10 minutes. podbean.com/ew/pb-ddk9e-19…
From the videos I've been seeing on YouTube, the new EA Sports college football game does NOT think much of Auburn this season.
11 minutes of NO SPOILERS. And *then* I go deep into my thoughts and reactions to Fantastic Four: First Steps. (I give plenty of warning before going into the spoiler section!!) It's a brand new episode of the White Rocket Podcast: podbean.com/eas/pb-ddk9e-1…
Someone do a wellness check on Madonna and Mr T!
It feels like the Eighties as a decade is dying this week.
I'm noticing the pattern that my students' essays have, when they've used AI to write them. Definitely changing how my assignments work in a big way this fall.

I can't stand WHAM. And I never expected Star Trek of all things to be the cause of their music being stuck in my head today. 😑
And it's not even August 1 yet.
There is separation at the top for 5-star DB Bralan Womack, @ChadSimmons_ reports👀 Intel: on3.com/rivals/news/si…
ICYMI this morning, I put together the complete story of the mostly-bizarre 1980s college football national champion teams. It starts here:
College football national championships in the 1980s were a very strange thing. Let’s take a quick walk through the decade and see how the stranger ones played out:
I think this is my favorite bit from the long string I posted last night about the 1980s national championship teams. (Refers to BYU in 1984.)
This is like a scene in a mob movie where all the tough gangsters in the room shoot each other, and the waiter gets out from under a table and walks away with the suitcase full of money.
Watched the first half of 2024 Oklahoma-Alabama, and dang but OU basically ran Jackson Arnold on nearly every offensive play.
Help me out here... Texas A&M players took offense that Auburn students ran on the field after the OT win in Jordan-Hare last year. Would they prefer that Auburn fans NOT care about a win over A&M? Wouldn't brushing off the win indicate less respect than a huge celebration?
