The 156P-P1 object, nicknamed “the hand”, was seen by the ESA Pinnacle mission last month while studying comets in the Kuiper Belt. This 30 cm object crossed the probe's path for a single photograph and was not seen again. It is as yet impossible to explain its nature and origin.
