On Friday, we sent our response to the NHS Fife medical director following their formal apology regarding Isaac's withheld clinical records.
Because in the end, whether young or old, we are all left confronting the strange question: was all this effort for a joy so fleeting?
They have outlived the stories that shaped them; What was once vibrant is now memory. Purpose fulfilled feels hollow when love is gone. Thus, life is frugal with joy and liberal with loss. It teaches us to cherish moments, not outcomes.
The labor of life seems cruelly wasted when death comes too soon. Yet, those who live long carry another sorrow: the slow erosion of companionship. They sit among shadows, surrounded by empty chairs and faded photographs, recalling laughter that no longer echoes.
Life, in its strange irony, often rewards the diligent with pain, and the frugal with emptiness. We toil, we strive, believing purpose lies in achievement; only to watch the young die before their harvest, dreams still ripening, hearts still beating with fire.

In our three-page response, we formally notified the medical director and the board of a criminal offense by a health professional within NHS Fife in regards to Isaacs care. I have received acknowledgment of receipt from the First Minister's office and the health board.
We stated that NHS Fife's evasiveness about "protecting others" instead of disclosing the CAP outcome, forcing us to obtain a SAR, clearly showed that damage limitation, not Isaac’s care, was the priority.

No, I NEVER agree that unlawful seclusion is a need or must. I firmly believe anyone in education who is found guilty of unlawful seclusion should be barred & named. Hopefully ICARS' work helps more families learn the legal position & how to fight it.
