Nice to see Ohio's own Jack Nicklaus make an appearance in Happy Gilmore 2!
140 years ago today, the world lost a great man. American lost one of her finest citizens. Do yourself a favor and read Ron Chernow's biography of Grant, then read Grant's autobiography. I have no doubt you'll come away feeling the same way I do about the man.

Quiz for the day: after James McPherson, who was the next US Army commander killed in battle? (hint: his father was a Civil War general)
Killed 161 years ago today, Major General James B. McPherson. One of the best and most beloved generals in the Union army. I have no doubt he would have been President some day had he lived.

Should be 6-7 weeks away from hitting half a million!!! Where should I go or what should I do for the 500k celebration?

Excited to see my friend Tim cover my 4th great grandpa Sgt Dan Servey's 4th Pennsylvania Cavalry monument at Gettysburg. Already been thinking about them for my next book... youtu.be/N_kOKzecOQc?si…
This makes me supremely happy.
#TedLasso Season 4 has begun filming in Kansas City!
Col. James Cameron was killed leading the 79th New York (Highland Regiment) attacking Henry House Hill at First Bull Run. His brother, U.S. Secretary of War Simon Cameron, was present observing the battle.

Ulysses S. Grant was the first U.S. President with both parents living when he took office.
The mothers of both George Washington and John Adams were alive when their sons became President, but both died in the first year of their Presidency.
Alright, we’re back in the U.S. for History Traveler and hitting a battlefield that A LOT of you have been requesting for a long time now. We’re walking Wilson’s Creek, which is where the first Union general was killed in the Civil War. Enjoy! Link in the comments below.
As long as they put it in the basement. In all seriousness, WHAT?
Pee-wee Herman’s iconic red bicycle to be permanently displayed at the Alamo trib.al/p6hWGlf
Thinking about checking out Superman & Lois. I've heard it's pretty good. Thoughts?
Among the 132 men who served in Company H, 20th Ohio Infantry were 3 sets of 3 brothers and 10 pairs of brothers. There was a father & son, uncle & nephew, and multiple sets of cousins.
Am I cynical for finding the timing of this (in light of the WSJ story) convenient?
🚨🚨🚨LFG!!!!!
