We are a MOD sponsored youth organisation formed in 1901. Open to young persons between the ages of 9 & 16 who can join as a Royal Naval or Royal Marines Cadet.
Last night I had the privilege to attend the RMVCC Gosport Band Beating Retreat. It was a fantastic display by our talented Musicians. Supported by Mayor of Gosport, Captain of HMS Sultan and DCOMD NCF. @VCCcadets @rncadetforces @BandsRMVCC @HMSsultan
Commander VCC and I took time on Friday to mark the anniversary of the 1929 Gillingham Fire Disaster, in which @RoyalNavy cadets from HMS Pembroke RNVCC tragically lost their lives, alongside Scouts and Firefighters, during a firefighting demonstration. We will remember them 🕯️

💥 Fun Fact: The field guns @VCCcadets operate are original 7-pounder muzzle-loaders that saw action in the 1899 #BoerWar! With a combined weight of over 855 pounds (about a third of a ton!), they’re raced over 100 yards using sheer strength, discipline & teamwork! 💪
