High school students in the BeyondReality@UNO summer camp are diving into virtual reality, learning 3D modeling, animation, and scripting to design their own VR games. Today, they explored their creations for the first time using VR headsets. 🕹🎮




UNO has received a grant from the Greater New Orleans Foundation to launch a pilot project that collects food waste from campus housing and transforms it into compost. The initiative aims to reduce waste and support campus food gardens. bit.ly/4kvhqkj
This afternoon was the inaugural session of our new Startup Studio course, a collaboration of several faculty members from the business, computer science, and liberal arts programs. This free course aims to provide students with the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

Did U NO? Students in our NAME program learn to design in the maritime industry with cutting-edge facilities, including a 128-foot towing tank for model testing and a structural test system for evaluating ship components.

Today, local civic leaders gathered at the University of New Orleans to celebrate the launch of the Recreation for Youth Partnership, a $1.95 million initiative that will provide year-round programming for more than 6,000 youth across Greater New Orleans. 🌧⚾




The University of New Orleans welcomed Andrew Gipson as the Privateers' new baseball head coach at the Lakefront Arena on Friday, June 13. Previously, Gipson led Belhaven to a 59-32 record over two seasons and a historic NCAA Division III Super Regional appearance.
