New research from Brandl lab @UTMSI challenges the idea that coral reefs are "oases" in marine deserts. While reefs are indeed among the world’s most productive ecosystems, their existence in nutrient-deprived oceans is the exception rather than the rule utmsi.utexas.edu/coral-oases/
