Today, we pause to remember the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who served during the Korean War. On July 27, 1953, the armistice was signed, ending three years of conflict, but the legacy of their resilience lives on.
Yesterday, we supported .@UNI_KR Minister Chung Dong-young’s first visit to the JSA. This was an opportunity to reinforce Panmunjom as neutral ground for dialogue and to highlight the shared role in peacebuilding on the Korean Peninsula.
Today, we honor those who gave their lives during the Korean War. The signing of the Armistice, marked not only the end of active hostilities but also the beginning of a steadfast commitment to peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.

Maj Gen Taylor spoke at the 2025 Seoul International Veterans Forum to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. “Freedom has never been free … We will be the sharpest sword to fight any adversary that threatens peace and stability.” Taylor said.
