Irony of the #OBBB: “It’s intended to make life more affordable, but the result is it makes it more expensive.” Americans will pay more for power b/c the bill (& new EO) actively discourage #solar & #wind development. Time for state leaders to step up! fastcompany.com/91364075/wind-…
Nice piece that exposes a dumbfounding assumption hidden in DOE's recent report: no new power plants connect after 2026. This impossible constraint renders DOE's report practically useless.
🔌💡 Our @brendanpierpont's recent piece in @UtilityDive examines the negative impact of propping up uneconomic "zombie power plants" 🧟🏭 utilitydive.com/news/doe-grid-…
“One of the bitter ironies of this bill is it’s been billed as something to lower costs for working Americans. It will absolutely raise costs...at the same time stripping away their ability to actually manage their own costs through DG #Solar, #EE & #EVs" nevadacurrent.com/2025/07/09/ugl…
The federal tax credit rollbacks were a major setback for many in the industry, but in an article for @thecentersquare, United’s @USEnergyHarry reassured that there are lots of opportunities for advanced energy to thrive across the country. Read more ⤵️ okt.to/o7L4pi

We should lead in AI, but there's a problem at the heart of @WhiteHouse policy: "Their rhetoric doesn’t match reality. They talk a game about energy abundance, yet their actions are fundamentally counter-abundance. They’re creating scarcity.” subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eenews…
In response, after chairing a NEPA hearing yesterday, Nat Resources Chair Rep. Bruce Westerman told me it’s not ideal for the government to use permitting to pick winners & losers and he hopes legislation would restrain that
In a statement to @Politico, Advanced Energy United's @USEnergyHarry added: “[it is] deeply disappointing to see the Administration yet again singling out affordable energy sources for added scrutiny, particularly at a time of rising demand." okt.to/PdoRK8

For too many #wind & #solar projects in active development, the #OBBB represents a "rug pull", as I told @clairehao_ of the @HoustonChron last week. #AdvancedEnergy in TX will endure, but at the cost of lost jobs & squandered investment! houstonchronicle.com/business/energ… via @houstonchron
What does the ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ mean for wind, solar energy production? It means higher power prices, lost jobs, and less investment as #AdvancedEnergy projects in active development get cut off at the knees, as I told @StraightArrow__ this week. san.com/cc/what-does-t…
So now what? There’s a lot of (justifiable) despair about #CleanEnergy & #EVs in the wake of HR 1’s passage. But all is not lost, provided state leaders step up & the center holds in DC. Good to talk with @emilypont @heatmap_news a/b what comes next: heatmap.news/energy/obbba-c…
United will continue to work with Republicans and Democrats in Congress, as well as the Trump Administration, where they seek to unlock advanced energy. Read our full statement: blog.advancedenergyunited.org/articles/final…
United President and CEO @hmnoneill released the following statement following final passage of the reconciliation budget bill: America didn’t have an energy emergency before, but this legislation goes a long way towards creating one.
The U.S. Senate just passed a budget bill that will drive up energy prices and eliminate jobs.
The last minute changes the U.S. Senate made "stepped back from the most cataclysmic impacts," said @USEnergyHarry of Advanced Energy United. But, "it’s really important not to see further backsliding" as the House votes, added Harry.
BREAKING: The Senate voted Tuesday to pass an amended version of the Republican budget megabill that significantly curtails clean energy tax credits but does not contain a proposed excise tax on wind and solar projects. utilitydive.com/news/senate-me…
.@AdvEnergyUnited stmt from CEO @hmnoneill on Senate passage of H.R. 1. Simply put, this will still really hurt #CleanEnergy & U.S. economy, but via last minute changes avoid truly cataclysmic impacts. Critical that House avoids further backsliding! blog.advancedenergyunited.org/articles/senat…
Energy tax credits are smart. They result in more energy, more jobs and lower energy rates. In the end, even the government earns more revenue. Win, win, win and a win.
Statement from @AdvEnergyUnited a/b proposed amendment from @SenJoniErnst @ChuckGrassley @lisamurkowski. Short version: We strongly support! W/o this, #energy prices will jump, jobs will be lost, and 🇺🇸 energy dominance will be lost. Pass this amendment!
Advanced Energy United strongly supports the amendment put forward by Senators @SenJoniErnst @ChuckGrassley & @lisamurkowski. Among other things, the amendment would restore the start of construction standard for credit eligibility – the current standard – and eliminate a new…
