Thousands of refugee and host community families in Kakuma can sleep safer every night thanks to @MOH_Kenya ‘s donation of 140,000 insecticidal nets protecting the most vulnerable from malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.

Yesterday, we joined our partners in Nairobi in solidarity #WithRefugees. Talented refugee dancers, drummers, and performers graced the event while participants also sampled and purchased beautiful items made by refugees. Thank you for supporting refugees.

We asked our staff what solidarity #WithRefugees means to them. Here is what they had to say. #WorldRefugeeDay 💙

Today is #WorldRefugeeDay We stand in solidarity with the 850,000+ #refugees and asylum seekers in 🇰🇪. We also celebrate our partners like @inkomokoKenya, @IFCAfrica & @kkcfkenya investing in refugee & host community businesses for financial inclusion & integration.
Most refugees have experienced pain and loss. This shouldn't define them, but the courage with which they rebuild. On #WorldRefugeeDay, we celebrate refugees like Kiza, who has harnessed her potential in farming to feed the community in Kalobeyei while also sustaining herself.

The dire funding situation is endangering the lives of many, including refugees and host communities. No matter the challenges, UNHCR will stay and deliver. Refugees need our solidarity to live in safety, with dignity, and to rebuild their lives. #WorldRefugeeDay

🌍 On #WorldRefugeeDay, @CanHCKenya & @UNHCR_Kenya proudly hosted a vibrant celebration of resilience and inclusion, featuring a panel discussion, artisan market and fashion show spotlighting #Refugee voices. #IRCC 🇨🇦✨
This #WorldRefugeeDay, we stand with over 850,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Kenya. The numbers are rising. Aid is shrinking. But one thing hasn’t changed, refugees need our solidarity now more than ever. Today and always, let's stand with them 💙

Over 850,000 refugees and asylum seekers currently reside in Kenya. Many have lived here for years, and this is the only home they know. Today, we honor families who have faced exile and the Kenyan communities that have welcomed them with generosity & grace. #WorldRefugeeDay
Many refugees wish to return home. In 2025 alone, UNHCR Kenya has assisted some 670 refugees so far to return home through voluntary repatriation. On #WorldRefugeeDay, we call for peace and more durable solutions.

Thank you for your solidarity #WithRefugees. Refugees arrive with skills, ideas, hope, ambition, and full of potential. They want to work, learn, be included, and contribute to their host communities. Let's continue supporting them. #WorldRefugeeDay2025
Becoming a refugee is not a choice. Anyone can become a refugee. Refugees seek self-reliance and opportunities to contribute productively to the economies of their host communities. On #WorldRefugeeDay and always, let's support refugees like Said in building their businesses.

Today, on the Day of the African Child, we honour the strength, dreams, and resilience of every African child, particularly those forced to flee their homes. Deka Aden, a young Somali refugee girl living in Dadaab, embodies this spirit. Despite the challenges of displacement,…
