An excellent session highlighting just how critical space is to our daily lives - from phones to finance to defence. Losing access isn’t science fiction; it’s a national security risk. Vital we plan for ‘day 1 without space’.
What was the last thing you used that relies on satellites? How many minutes into your morning routine would you get before noticing satellites weren't working? @LukePollard joined representatives from government, parliament, industry & defence to discuss 'day 1 without space'
As a space nerd and someone who has responsibility for space operations in the MOD it was a real treat to speak at the Day One Without Space conference. Space is a sector worth £19bn to the Uk economy each year. It matters to our growth, prosperity and national security.
