33 days til kickoff! Mustafa Greene was one of the most unique running backs NC State has ever seen. An extremely skilled back that unfortunately suffered from being in and out of trouble. He only appeared in 15 games for State surprisingly but amassed 1,000 scrimmage yds & 6 TD

34 days til kickoff! The last time ECU came to Raleigh, they suffered only a slightly less embarrassing loss than the one they endeavored at Carter-Finley the year prior. The Wolfpack blasted the Pirates 34-6 led by Matt McKay who threw for 308 yards and 1 TD.

Three main position player losses are Sosa, DeCriscio and Hogue. They totaled 6.65 WAR. They’ve more or less been replaced by Bargo, Wiggins and Peifer who totaled 5.97 WAR last year and 13.92 in their career. Easily State’s best portal cycle to this point

35 days til kickoff! Terrell Manning was part of one of the greatest LB corps in State football history. In his 3 years in Raleigh, Manning totaled 193 tackles, 29 TFL’s, 10 sacks, 5 INT, and 8 forced fumbles. Manning was a 2011 All-ACC performer & drafted by Green Bay in 2012.

NC State QB CJ Bailey told me he grew an inch this offseason, while putting on 15 pounds of muscle and losing some body fat along the way. Updated measurements: 6-foot-7, 215 pounds. That's about a 45-pound improvement since Bailey arrived on campus in January 2024.

NC State head coach Dave Doeren at ACC Kickoff: "One area where I thought we really lacked was getting pressure on the quarterback. We lost a lot of winnable third downs and as a defensive minded coach, getting to the signal caller has to be a priority."

Experienced player, good bat to ball skills, when he makes contact he hits it hard. Numbers dropped some last season but freshman year stats are impressive. This is going to be one of the Hart projects we should keep an eye on. The tools are there, just gotta tap into them #Pack9

Here’s a power bat addition to the lineup that the #Pack9 desperately needed. Bargo hit .312 with 19 XBH in SEC play for the Vols this season (credit to @cbpuckett48 for that info)

36 days til kickoff! 2020 was a big bounce back year for NC State. The Pack traveled to the Carrier Dome, a place where they lost the last time there in 2018, and came back to Raleigh with a 36-29 win. This was THE Thayer Thomas game as he logged 9 catches for 102 yds & 3 TD’s

I really hope there is a special uniform planned for a game this year. Haven’t had one in the past few seasons

37 days til kickoff! 2012 was the final year of the O’Brien era at NC State but his final contest against Wake Forest was one to be remembered. State pounded the Deacs 37-6. Two guys led State, Shadrach Thornton ran for 110 yards and TJ Graham had a kickoff return touchdown.

NC State picked up a commitment from McLennan Community College transfer SS Sherman Johnson. The infielder was committed to Arkansas before reopening his recruitment. He hit .319 with 21 2Bs, three 3Bs, nine HRs and 51 RBI this past season. More here: on3.com/teams/nc-state…

38 days til kickoff! In the Covid limited 2020 season, NC State went on the road to Virginia and trounced the Cavaliers 38-21. The Pack was led offensively by Bam Knight who ran for 101 yds and 2 TD but the highlight of the day was definitely the big man pick-6 from Alim McNeill

39 days til kickoff! (This didn’t post yesterday for some reason) Brandon Pittman was a solid, yet under the radar, player in the O’Brien-Doeren change period. In his 4 years at State Pittman appeared in 43 games, totaling 139 tackles, 17 TFL’s, 7 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles

40 days til kickoff! The 40 yard dash has been an NFL Combine test where Wolfpack alums have impressed in recent years. In 2024, linebacker Payton Wilson clocked a 4.43 dash. In the 2018 combine, defensive end Bradley Chubb opened some eyes when he ran a 4.65 second dash.

Lol another one of my “pick and choose” ecu favorites. You got us in 2013, no excuses here. To claim a “takeover” late in the 4th when this video was taken is such a stretch but you do you man. If you get to pick and choose then so do I. Let me see the videos from ‘18 and ‘19.
