Bill O’Brien is an avid reader. He likes to juggle multiple books at a time. Right now, he’s reading The Last Pass (about Bob Cousy and Bill Russell), The Baddest Man on the Planet (Mike Tyson) and Blood & Hate (Marvin Hagler).
Bill O’Brien said that if he weren’t coaching football, he would probably be a high school history teacher.
Bill O’Brien is now speaking on ESPN College GameDay. That’s now one podium interview, one group interview, eight radio/podcast interviews and two TV interviews in a span of four hours.

Bill O’Brien said there’s a small margin of error at BC. “The difference between seven wins and 10 wins is not that big of a difference.” He said it often comes down to the turnover battle, penalty battle and other similar variables. A few pivotal plays can shape a season.
Bill O’Brien hops on a podcast and half-jokes midway through that he can’t believe they haven’t asked him about the hole-in-one yet. He’s exuberant. Truly thrilled.

Bill O’Brien spoke at the podium, then on TV, then to local reporters, and now he’s on the radio. Radio interview starts with a joke about the program getting a Bill who coached the Patriots on the air. O’Brien: “Sorry it’s the wrong Bill. It’s the Irishman from Boston.”
