That's the formula RealDCFans have been asking for since 2013. Any less than that, thay call it grim and dark. They NEED a joke to truncate meaningful scenes lest those become too deep and thought-provoking for comfort. They can't deal with that tone more than a TikTok runtime.
This is what frustrates me the most about the movie: you have a solid, interesting scene, but gets ruined for comedic effect. smh
