Ship Ahoy! ⛵Did you know that @lanaosantamaria will be moored in London at @skdocks until Sunday 8 June? Built by the Nao Victoria Foundation it's a 93ft museum ship and replica of Christopher Columbus’s 15th century flagship. A must see! ⚓⛴️

We can finally put a face to @tradememorial man Bertrand Affleck who served in #WW1 with Artists Rifles and in Boer War. He died aged 38 on 21 Aug 1917 at Battle of Oppy Wood. He has no known grave and is named on Arras Memorial 🎖️#lestweforget #morethanjustaname 📸 Photo 131

In @TradeMemorial research mode today @I_W_M and @UkNatArchives and feels rather holiday like. Delighted to make new discoveries which will share here shortly. Doing research #happydance 💃📚

Just when I thought it was impossible to find any more photos of the 305 @TradeMemorial men, this photo of Robert Crawford was kindly shared by a relative. He died aged 24 on 17 June 1916. Photo comes from memorial book at @Stowbraekirk, Paisley 📸 photo 130 #morethanjustaname🎖️

Today the @TradeMemorial group enjoyed a great Westminster at War themed walk 👣 led by qualified London guide Jonty Levin. A fitting and fascinating end to our small series of events as part of #VEDay80 commemorations #historymatters #WW2 as walk ended by @RitzCarlton Hotel 🎉

Recently went during Easter holidays to @I_W_M with my 12 year old son and made sure to visit the #LordAshcroftGallery. Personally I think it's wrong to close the gallery #LestWeForget
The #LordAshcroftGallery is my pride and joy. My only wish is for as many people to see it, before it closes for good. #LestWeForget @I_W_M
Huge thanks to Dr Catherine Ross @Weather_1854 for her insight into Vice Admiral Robert Fitzroy (of HMS Beagle and Charles Darwin fame) who was founder of Board of Trade dept that became the @metoffice. History has not been kind to Fitzroy. He died 160 years ago on 30 April 1865
