Exc with @tweetsbyames: Corbyn’s new party will campaign to nationalise all banks, one of its organisers has said. Pamela Fitzpatrick also said it was a mistake for Labour to adopt the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism and those expelled were “victims”. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/2…
Understand registered supporters for the new Corbyn party are now at 300,000. Labour membership was at 309,000 in February. Caveat: You don't have to donate to signup to the Corbyn party, but you do have to pay subs to be a Labour member.

Labour source: "The electorate has twice given its verdict on a Jeremy Corbyn-led party."
Fun piece of history from the latest National Archives drop. In 2001 Vladimir Putin wrote a letter to Tony Blair to wish him a happy birthday. Maybe expecting that he would be surprised, Blair's private secretary added in pen: "Prime Minister, the Russians are big on birthdays!"

The union leader behind Friday’s doctor strike compared Luigi Mangione to Jesus. Dr Tom Dolphin faces calls to withdraw his “highly disturbing” remarks in December. Mangione is accused of the murder of Brian Thompson in NYC last year. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…

As the reshuffle gets underway - another development in the saga over how much the Tories should say sorry. In another leaked tape, Alex Burghart was asked by a Tory member about Rachel Maclean's view that the "mea culpas" are over. He does not agree. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…
Rachel Maclean, who said the Tories were done apologising and the "mea culpas" were over, being tipped for shadow leader of the House of Lords. Previously she was director of strategy in CCHQ...jury out on whether that's a demotion or not.
Will be interesting to see how ambitious Kemi Badenoch is in her reshuffle today. There are a few names that constantly come up among Tory MPs and shadow ministers — of people they want to see gone. But sounds like today will be much more limited, with a bigger reshuffle later.
EXC: Lawyers are preparing to launch human rights cases against the UK to bring Afghans on the leaked ARAP list to Britain. It could apply to Afghans affected by the breach whose resettlement claims were rejected — up to 100,000 people. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…
