Graduation rates are up. SAT scores are down. Teachers are being told to give 50%, even when students skip tests or turn in nothing. Failure rates are suppressed to protect the system, not student learning.
Teachers unions can no longer mandate that public employees pay dues as a condition of employment. It would be a violation of their First Amendment rights. Teachers should DEFUND the union by OPTING OUT. They can use the American Association of Educators for legal protection.
