News flash: Trump doesn't give a s**t about your energy bills.
Shapiro nails it here. The US must win the AI race against China — and that means we need American workers, abundant energy, and serious investment. Pennsylvania is stepping up.
Someone's going to win the race on AI, and it's either going to be China or the United States. I damn well want to make sure it's the United States of America — and the way we do it is through the power of Pennsylvania energy, and the ingenuity of the Pennsylvania workforce.
"For Texas, where you're really relying on these types of new generation facilities to meet surging demand and to keep prices low, as well as increase reliability, it's going to be tough," said Third Way's @ShaneLondagin. texastribune.org/2025/07/24/tex…

Today, a majority of Americans support the use of nuclear to meet demand. That’s partly because the NRC has solidified its reputation as a strong regulator. They keep deployment humming. The NRC needs support and reform, not cuts and chaos. broadbandbreakfast.com/former-nrc-bos…

The Trump administration has put all its eggs in one basket. They're all in on fossil fuels, ignoring the other clean and reliable fuels on the table. The result? Massive supply chain issues, and eventually, higher energy costs for consumers.

DOGE told the NRC to “rubber stamp” new nuclear projects. Former NRC Commissioner: Great care must be taken in streamlining the licensing process to preclude erosion of high levels of nuclear safety.
"The cost of electricity in America’s largest power market will hit a record high due to soaring demand." And Trump just cut support for 93% of planned energy projects. When your electric bill goes up, remember who took this situation from bad to worse. on.ft.com/4lGvcSq
If you were appalled by your utility bill this month, you’re not alone. New Jerseyans are bearing the brunt of failures by our grid operator, PJM. And today, we found out they’re raising rates again. Here’s how I’ll address PJM’s mismanagement and lower your utilities 🧵1/13
"If you have soaring demand, and you constrain supply, we're going to see significant price increases hitting American families." @JasonGrumet with the facts on how the GOP's attacks on clean energy will raise Americans' energy bills.
In 2021, we mapped the manufacturing footprint of the EV industry. Since then, it has grown into a true economic regime. Automakers have announced 15 new EV plants, and the number of jobs supported by the industry has doubled. Here's our 2025 update: thirdway.org/memo/summer-20…

The US must move quickly to deploy advanced nuclear — but not at the expense of the American public. Reactors must be tested and made to uphold safety standards. The NRC should not "rubber stamp" new projects, and DOGE is wrong to demand otherwise.

The GOP megabill makes it harder to meet Trump's ambitious nuclear goals by cutting key federal programs. @alanahn81: "The administration says it wants to do 400 gigawatts, but then sort of hamstrings itself from getting there. How do you reconcile that?" subscriber.politicopro.com/article/2025/0…
Takeaways from our friends @EnergyInnovLLC's new report: 📉Clean doesn't drive costs. States with lots of renewables see *lower* rate increases over time. 📈Swings in natural gas prices and dependence on coal have *raised* costs. energyinnovation.org/report/clean-e…
Confused by all of changes to federal energy law after the OBBBA? We have a handy-dandy cheat sheet that breaks it all down for you, courtesy of @ShaneLondagin, Luke Bassett, @azevin, and researchers at @JesseJenkins’ REPEAT Project. heatmap.news/politics/obbba…
100% @SenatorHeinrich. Using energy policy to pick winners and losers sets a dangerous precedent — it raises costs, eliminates jobs, and increases the likelihood of blackouts. It’s bad for working families.
Sen. Martin Heinrich, top Democrat of the Energy Committee, called the Interior policy an "abuse of permitting," adding: "I would warn them if they create this as a precedent and it survives, a future administration could play the same game with oil and gas pipelines and leases”
The Trump administration is well over the line here, handpicking winners and losers in the energy sector and sticking Americans with the tab. We need all-of-the-above, not industry-killing red tape. politico.com/news/2025/07/1…
Here's some truth for you, @ZachNunn. Care to tell Iowans how many jobs your bill cuts?
.@SpeakerJohnson said it best: “It takes a lot longer to build a lie than to tell the truth.” Our reconciliation package delivers: ✅ $1,500 tax cut for Iowans ✅ Farm safety net update ✅ Border + national security investments ✅ Stronger Medicaid & SNAP bit.ly/3Iqietj
