I made a decision long ago to tweet in my native English Dialect, African-American Vernacular English (AAVE). Please don't correct my English. If you ever need me to interpret, just ask.
You could have fought for us, but you didn't. I hope it cost you your seat @SenSchumer @CortezMasto4NV @SenatorDurbin @brianschatz @SenAngusKing @SenatorHassan @JohnFetterman @GaryPetersonUSA @SenGillibrand @SenatorShaheen
Dear @SenateDems and @SenSchumer, @SenateGOP are already shutting the government down. Don't let this CR codify what they are doing to our country. Fight for gov employees. Fight for Medicaid. Fight for us. Do not vote for the CR.
#PresidentsDay I expected to see more tributes to our real President, Elon Musk. Shocked.

Best guess on why educated White men want to tear down the entire educational infrastructure of the US?
“Inequities, when left unchecked, can sap a nation’s strength”- @DanielEDawes Our country depends on you to fight for #DEI #DEIA #HealthEquity
"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." -Dr. MLK Jr
In 2020, I wrote letters to governors asking, no begging them to decarcerate before COVID killed prisoners and prison staff. It was clear that prisons/jails would be a hotbed for the virus to spread. I'm sad it took so long before the advice of public health folk was heeded.
There's fight left in me. The word that helped most came from a midwife in WI. She said, "You are awakening to the same country you fell asleep to. The very same country." The needs of the disenfranchised were worth fighting for on Tues, & remains so on Thurs. Deep breath & go!
This is hard. Not hard to believe, but hard to live through. When racism and sexism continually win, it really makes me question if anything I'm fighting for is even possible. Today, I will mourn. The question is will I have fight left for tomorrow.

My daughters witnessed me voting for a Black woman who went to a #HBCU, like their aunties and their momma, and like they will too. #HBCUPride #Kamala4President
Right? right.
Heyyyyy white women! ❤️ You got us, right?
Michelle Obama just gave the best MCH speech I've heard in my career! Women's health is on the ballot.
