What’s a holiday if you don’t spend some time writing letters and postcards, or stopping off in stationery-named places to post them? Huge shoutout to the Post Office in Sticker for stocking loads of pretty 1st and 2nd class stamps! #PostboxSaturday 😄✍️✉️📮❤️
I just wish that there were more special issue stamps that were Second Class. While Second Class still exists I will continue to use so I can send more letters/postcards etc but it would be nice to be able to do so with pretty stamps.
No-one is expecting to pay peanuts but £1.70 for a 1st class stamp is sadly pricing lots of people out of sending letters. 🥜💌
Letters and postcards incoming, following the Longest Bath of All Time. 🛀🏾💌 #PostcardDrop2025

If some Y7s can write like this, freed from the shackles of doing just one narrow type of writing for exams, then all should be given these opportunities. Poetry education is more than the analytical paragraph. And, ironically, this also leads to much better analytical writing!
I've just been sent this superb piece by a Y7 in a school where the English teacher was doing an EMC-style sequence – reading poems, choosing a favourite, arguing for it against other choices. THIS is what students can write about poetry, when authentic response, choice & 1/
What a way to celebrate #PostboxSaturday trending at Number 1 today! (Also big thanks to Mr THLAS for trotting off to the postbox to capture it for me) #SwanageCarnival @rafredarrows 🤩📮✈️🎉
Postboxes. The fishers of letters in a way. #Newquay #PostboxSaturday ☺️📮🐟✉️
So many replies here saying it is because Ofsted want them. No, it's because senior leaders do/ did.
Just a thought: How much time could be saved if children didn't have to write out the learning objective or question?
Happy #PostboxSaturday, postbox friends! Had the loveliest few days away in beautiful Cornwall with postboxes galore! Thought I’d start here with some postal paradise at the @EdenProject including a little expedition for @thelonningsguy’s wonderful exploratory book… ☺️📮📗🌴🌿
Happy #PostboxSaturday from this wall box that’s had its status enhanced courtesy of a tin of red paint. It lives in Ardlui, a hamlet located at the head of Loch Lomond, so features the Scottish Crown - like every Scottish post box since 1954. 💌🏴

One of the main reasons I came on here originally was to ensure that my work was taken seriously . . . oh dear. 😁😁😁 darrellwakelam.com
Happy Heavenly Birthday to Emmett Till, who would be 84 today. At the young age of 14, he became a martyr for the people. Till's mother Mamie Till made it a point to share her son's story—which was a radical act at the time. It helped to mobilise the civil rights movement. ❤️💚🖤
Shout out to Abdul, a member of staff at Crystal Palace station. I was the only person on the last service - a rail replacement bus which completely failed to stop. Abdul told me to complain to @TfL - which subcontracts this service. And then he DROVE ME HOME. What a guy.
I’ve not posted much #poetry recently, I’m still writing, but needed to slow down for a bit. Still selling ‘Thoughts on Life’, if anyone would like one. £6.00, including p&p and the £1 to Willow Wood. Happy summertime! 🌼 🌞 #poetrycommunity
