Use of non mil platforms to send info puzzles me. As a Tp Sgt I'd a folder with my soldiers quals inc driving in it. My responsibility. 25 years later this cluster could've prevented by basic admin. Even in the "bad old days" this nonsense would've been vetoed as a sh1t idea.

Read this excellent novel a few years ago. A brutal book on love, memory and the scars of war. Now adapted by the BBC with the first of five episodes shown last night. Not watched yet but it's a complex work to transfer to the screen without losing its haunting depth.
