Awful news coming out of Cleveland Fire Brigade, my thoughts are with the family, friends, colleagues and loved ones of Firefighter Neil Allport at this incredibly difficult time.
It is with great sadness that we share the death of Middlesbrough Red Watch and Guisborough On-Call Firefighter Neil Allport who was suddenly taken ill at home and died on Thursday 26 June. Our thoughts are with Neil’s family, friends, colleagues and loved ones during this time.
Would highly recommend everyone watch this documentary, and also read @PeteApps book titled Show Me The Bodies.
Grenfell Uncovered on Netflix is a tough - but a must - watch. Perfectly highlights how Arconic and other firms must be brought to book. And ensures we don’t forget the role David Cameron’s obsessive regulation-slashing agenda played in the tragedy

Both Firefighters have now been named, Firefighter Jennie Logan aged 30 of Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue, and Sub Officer Martyn Sadler aged 38 of London Fire Brigade who was working in his On Call role at the time for Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue.
My thoughts are with all those in @OxonFireRescue who have sadly lost 2 firefighters in the line of duty, my thoughts also go to the family, friends and loved ones of both firefighters and the member of the public who also tragically lost their life.
A fire broke out yesterday at a battery storage plant in Kilwinning, worryingly for local residents in a new housing estate, this incident occurred almost exactly 1 year after a huge blaze at the same site.

Incident involving a road tanker carrying LPG in Akkar, Lebanon. Incident occurred on Sunday afternoon (02/03/2025), and thankfully no injuries or deaths were recorded. Scary to think what could have happened had this incident occurred in a more populated area.
