Six positions/ players I am watching most closely at Patriots training camp: 1. Will Campbell 2. Drake Maye 3. Center (especially Wilson) 4. Stefon Diggs 5. Craig Woodson 6. CB Obviously there are a lot of choices, but these six have the biggest chance to swing the season IMO
Hoping on @WEEI with my guy Jon Lyons in 10 minutes to talk a little Pats on this lovely Friday night 🚗 617 ➡️ 93.7 FM 🚗 401 ➡️ 103.7 FM 💻 STREAM ➡️ weei.com/listen
I’m filling in for @ChristianArcand on @WEEI from 6-10 tonight! -Sox game today -Where the Sox stand as they begin their toughest stretch of the season -Patriots training camp preview -What the Celtics should do now that Dame signed in Portland @yaboiTCfresh joins at 7:45
So, in a bit of a weird situation, a “position battle” I have my eyes on is actually who is better between Woodson vs Jones (or another CB) because I think it will dictate how the Pats play their 5 DB packages
I think S and CB are more closely related than usual this year. If Craig Woodson has a great camp I could see the Patriots using a lot of three safety packages when they go nickel. If Marcus Jones has a great camp, I think it will be three corners in nickel.

I would place Safety over CB
Passan’s reporting makes it seem like the Red Sox will do nothing at the deadline. I really hope that isn’t the case
Eight days out from the trade deadline, a detailed look at where all 30 teams stand. Who’s all-in and all-out, who still hasn’t figured out their tack and what are the prices on the biggest names available. All that and more, free and unlocked at ESPN: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…
Thanks Jon. One thing to add: Not just Patriots fans will enjoy this book. "Brady vs. Belichick" goes behind the scenes of the dynamics of the greatest coach-QB partnership in NFL history from unlikely beginning to nasty breakup.
Just finished this. Some cool nuggets inside that Patriots fans will enjoy @GaryMyersNY
Would be huge for the Pats offense to have a fully healthy Diggs in Week 1
Patriots WR Stefon Diggs has been cleared for full participation at training camp, per sources. While New England will monitor his reps early on, Diggs has looked strong in his return after tearing his ACL last October while taking team reps with second-year QB Drake Maye.

Credit to @newftbj who wanted the Patriots to draft Tom on Day 2-3 of the 2022 NFL Draft. Would’ve been the Pats best pick that year if they’d listened to him 🤷🏻♂️
The #Packers and OT Zach Tom agreed to terms on a four-year, $88M extension with a max value of $92M, per The Insiders. The deal includes a $30.2M signing bonus, the largest for an OL. Deal was done by Michael Hoffman and Nate Sullivan of Sports Law and Management (SLAM).

There’s still work to do, but both on the field and on the sidelines, the Patriots have taken solid first steps toward building around their second-year quarterback.
Earlier this week, the Jets rewarded Sauce Gardner with a four-year, $120.4 million extension. If Christian Gonzalez stays healthy and keeps playing at the level he has, a similar deal for him will be a no-brainer.
Talked about what the Red Sox ceiling is last night on @WEEI. Unless they add another good starting pitcher, I think the ceiling is to get to the playoffs and lose to the Tigers, Astros or Yankees. I explain why below⬇️
