David Bednar is perfect in save situations. 14 for 14. Kudos to him on taking his early season demotion in stride. A hard-working Pittsburgher. I would NOT trade him. Because Cherington is clueless.

25 years from now when Paul Skenes is eclipsing 300 wins. 4000 strikeouts. And 10 Cy Youngs. We’ll be telling our grandkids about how he started his career with the Pirates.

Can you imagine if the Pirates were any good the amount of hoopla of buzz for every Paul Skenes start? They would feel like playoff games.

Paul Skenes just made the best team in baseball look like a lineup of Little Leaguers for 6 innings. He’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Now and then: The 2025 Pirates lineup is SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE than the 2010 Pirates. And that team lost 105 games. Also scored the fewest runs in the NL that season. This is as bad as it gets.
