It’s so hot on the National Mall today that we’re dreaming of sandy beach days. In 2014, there was a LOT of sand on the National Mall! Artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada created a six-acre image of a young man's face from 2,300 tons of sand & 800 tons of soil. nationalmall.org/events

Yesterday, we hosted the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy for a special tour and scavenger hunt on the National Mall. The Scholar Athletes visited the Lockkeeper’s House, Constitution Gardens, and met the horses at the US Park Police Stables!

In June 2023, the National Archives partnered with the @NatlParkService on an ambitious goal—transcribing the more than 2.5 million pages found in the Revolutionary War Pension Files by America's 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

Our Tree Crew is small but mighty! After coming back to work last night to clear the roads after severe storms swept over #WashingtonDC, they got started again this morning, clearing the paths and removing the downed trees & limbs. Great work, team!
