I wanted to learn electrochemistry so we electrolyzed seawater to minimize chlorine evolution reaction which is detrimental to alkaline electrolyzers. Since I am an organic chemist, of course we use amphiphilic diamines to sequestrate chloride ions! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
