BIG win for the Indiana Fever. Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston Carried HARD. Damiris Dantas and Lexie Hull deserve a lot of love too. Although Caitlin Clark’s shooting slump continues, it’s good to see other Fever players stepping up.
Sophie Cunningham deserves her flowers. She’s been EXCEPTIONAL over the past 6 games. Player of the game against the Aces in my book.
Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham were hot going into the 4th quarter against the Liberty. Not a single play drawn up for either of them in the 4th. Fever NEVER feed the hot hand.
“The Fever are better without Caitlin Clark.” It’s absurd to think that people ACTUALLY believe that. They are LOST without Caitlin.
“Questionable?” I’ve grown less susceptible to these games. We ALL knew she wasn’t playing today. Stop gaslighting the fans and tell us how it is.
Status Update for tonight's game against New York: Caitlin Clark - Out (right groin)
Not so hot take: Caitlin Clark is the greatest WNBA playmaker of all time.
Caitlin Clark has reached 200 PTS & 100 AST this season — the fastest to do so in a single season in WNBA history.
Fever fans better hope Caitlin doesn’t have too much fun with Coach Brondello at All Star 😭😭
It’s getting to that point where I’m confident saying the Fever were better AND more fun to watch last year.
Caitlin AND Damiris are returning today!? Good things happenin in Indy.
Damiris Dantas is back after her absence for AmeriCup, and she seems to be wearing CC’s Kobe PEs. Steph White has said she may not play today in aim to get her some rest after Brazil’s run.
HEARTBREAKING finish for the Fever. The missed layups (+ missed ref calls) cost them the game down the stretch. Nevertheless, not a bad performance at all. They fought tooth and nail, having a lot of great moments. On to the next (hopefully with CC).
Indiana Fever are the first team to allow less than 60 points in consecutive games this season.
The Fever UTTERLY destroying both the Lynx AND the Aces is very big. In these past two games, the Fever’s defensive intensity has been UNRECOGNIZABLE. If they can continue to get stops, the sky is the limit.
I did NOT expect the Fever to win that game. Nevertheless, the girls got it done and they got their cash. Now we know.
The Fever coming up with a victory against the Wings after that ATROCIOUS 3rd quarter collapse is HUGE. This type of win could change the course of the Fever’s season. They proved to THEMSELVES that they can close out games, All that is left is to DO IT.
The Fever fought hard against the Sparks. They forced turnovers, + Kelsey and Aari showed up. However, the Fever’s “usual” problems haven’t gone anywhere. Interior defense. Rebounding. Missed layups. Missed free throws. Just can’t win this way.
Lexie Hull outperforms her anyway. Not even sure why the front office signed her… But hey, as long as we get fresh legs in return, I’m satisfied with this.
BREAKING: DeWanna Bonner has no interest in returning to play for the Fever, per @AnnieCostabile. Sources indicated Bonner’s preferred landing spots are with the Phoenix Mercury or the Atlanta Dream.
Man. Don’t know how to explain it other than shock. Words cannot express the pain of this letdown. The frustration is unfathomable. I’ve worked my whole life to get to this moment and this is how it ends? Makes no sense. Now that I’ve gotten surgery, I wish I could count the…
Watching was a pleasure. 💛 Heal up soon, Hali.
Thank you for the magical playoff run 💛
