I really loved this version of Daffy. We're so used to the Chuck Jones version as the default, where he's a jerk at best and an out-right villain at worst. It was refreshing to see a Daffy who was perhaps inconsiderately wacky but not actually a bad person.
This sequence will go down in history as one of Daffy’s best moments in the entirety of Looney Tunes. This is a level of insanity from him that hasn’t been pushed to this level since his first appearance in Porky’s Duck Hunt where he bounced around the end title. Glorious.
