Today, on VE Day, we remember the sacrifices of the past—and those still being made. Victory in Europe Day marked the end of a devastating war, but for many veterans and civilians, the fight didn’t end there. Thousands continued to battle long-term, unexplained symptoms #VEDay

Medically Unexplained Symptoms (MUS) affect up to 30% of GP visits and around 15% of adults—yet they often go unrecognised. These persistent symptoms can be disabling, costly, and emotionally exhausting. It's time we raise awareness and use more supportive language in healthcare.

Many patients are unseen, misunderstood, and without a clear diagnosis. The emotional and physical toll of living with an overlooked disease is real. It’s not just about the symptoms; it’s about the isolation, the frustration, and the years spent searching for answers.

The struggle for a diagnosis is real. Too many patients face years of symptoms, referrals, and dismissal—without answers. We stand with the unheard. forgottenpatients.org #ForgottenPatients #ChronicIllness #InvisibleIllness #DiagnosisMatters #MedicallyUnexplainedSymptoms

🕯️ Who Are the Forgotten Patients? They are the millions living with rare, misunderstood, or medically unexplained conditions. They face delayed diagnoses, limited treatment options, and often feel invisible in the healthcare system. #ForgottenPatients #OverlookedDiseases
