Jumping across genres a lil bit over the last few days - the main title and end credits music for The Shrouds it top notch btw
Happy #LetterboxdFriday! Time to post your #LastFourWatched 😁
Howard Shore’s score for The Shrouds is evocative of the film’s title, enveloping, constricting, gentle, morose; it wraps its arms around you, but you must decide whether it’s a warm embrace or the firm grasp of death. Perhaps both…
Love how inseparable they are now

Watched the Pacquiao fight, and I couldn’t help but notice the similarity between trotting out old famous boxers and continuously mining old IP/endless reboots

Did a double bill of City on Fire and Tornado: The Last Blood. Both movies about highly competent, lower level men getting their lives destroyed by a commanding officer obsessed with his own career advancement

Nice to see some record labels already pivot away from using WeTransfer when sending promo albums, can’t imagine companies were too happy about those changes to the terms of service

I've seen some people say Cronenberg has left body horror behind, but it's still ever present in The Shrouds (and Crimes of the Future), it's just transformed
