Mars was colonized by dreamers who wanted to turn the red planet into a green garden. Sadly, even after generations of scientists giving their best to the terraforming project, Martians still can only live in the underground cities. Perhaps, a dream will always remain a dream.

There are plenty of things that can bring people together. Sharing certain values, having similar goals, fighting the same enemy, or simply having the same employer at some point. But nothing works as well as being surrounded by vacuum and sharing the same bubble of air.

You've made yourself an enemy, and now you need a crew that will support you, powerful allies that will back you, skills and luck to survive. But will that be enough?

Belters grow up in lower gravity, so their bodies end up being tall and lanky, compared to earthers. Some people hate that difference, but we love it and can't wait to get to Ceres!

Belters are the descendants of workers who built the first colonies in the asteroid belt. The resources are scarce, and sometimes they wear really old and heavily patched-up VAC suits. With good care, though, these suits do their job, and that's all that matters.

Spaceships in The Expanse are vertical, like towers, with decks positioned perpendicularly to the trajectory of the ship's movement. This allows them to utilize thrust-generated gravity when the ship is accelerating, which makes long space flights more comfortable for people.

Protogen is a private company from Earth. Not overly-famous, but extremely well-founded, they can afford the best possible equipment for their security force. Crossing paths with them definitely means trouble.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn takes place in our own Solar System, in the near future. Humanity explored most of its home system, and they are certain there is absolutely no extraterrestrial life in it. Or is there?

Michael is an earther with military background who crossed paths with you by accident. But as long as you fight a common enemy and pursue similar goals, you will find in him a reliable ally and a friend.
