The "justice system" is blatantly trying to intimidate witnesses in defense of @rstormsf, who's facing prison for building a privacy tool that's perfectly legal to use. There is no such thing as a fair day in court.

Aggression as a response to civility and intellectual arguments is usually a sign of deep insecurity.

So much of crypto's tech is based on whatever sounds good on marketing materials, and not what actually works. Over the next 5 or so years, all this will change. It will have to work, or it will go to zero. Full stop.

This is exactly why ASIC resistance is not good: a hostile actor can easily get the majority of the hashrate. And if you have ASICs, manufacturing and pools centralized everything. Hybrid systems, or well-distributed PoS, are the way to go. Sleep easy.

If you can pay in stablecoins or a decentralized, scarce (and probably volatile) crypto, always pick the latter, if you can. We have the chance to end fiat, not just make it better.

This is why I voluntarily debanked myself 9 years ago. The system will arbitrarily, capriciously, cowardly prevent you from transacting on a whim. This is the entire reason we created crypto. Living on decentralized digital cash is the killer app. Don't get distracted.
