The lore of this CRAZY. Midway Games were approached in 1991 to make a Jean Claude Van Damme fighting game. The deal collapsed halfway so they changed movie star "Jean Claude" into "Johnny Cage" and the game became Mortal Kombat. Now we are full circle with a Cage movie 😂
