Bowling Green, KY native Adam Houchins set the Irvin Cobb Championship low round record with a 10-under 61 this afternoon. The previous record was held by Drake Stepter who had shot 62 back in 2021. Houchins holds a 6-shot lead over Aidan Hahn after today's first round.
This afternoon, Murray State officially approved the new 4-year contract for head baseball coach Dan Skirka. Skirka will now make $240,000 per year over the course of the contract. That will make him the highest paid coach in the Missouri Valley Conference coming off of the CWS
