The TS Kennedy arrived in Houston this morning! The ship is buzzing with activity today as we prepare to welcome families and friends of our 300 and 400-level cadets aboard for Homeward Bound back to Galveston tomorrow! #tamu #maritime #seaterm

⛽️ After a quick pit stop in NYC to refuel, TS Kennedy is heading toward our next stop in Portland, Maine!
As part of our July 4th celebration aboard TS Kennedy this weekend, we hosted a pyrotechnics demonstration in lieu of fireworks and educated cadets about effectively using flares to communicate distress and signal for help in the event of an emergency on board.



🇨🇦 Cadets and crew had a great time visiting Peggy’s Cove and celebrating Canada Day in Halifax this week!




🚢 While on the TS Kennedy with our @TexasMaritime cadets, Dean Debbie Thomas gave a two-part presentation about some of the marine and earth science cadets, crew and faculty experienced in port and sailing the Atlantic!
🎣 Cadets are enjoying fishing tours and visiting the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic today in Halifax!




🇨🇦🚢 Our @TexasMaritime cadets arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia this morning! Cadets took the opportunity to check out the sights, welcome the pilot aboard the ship, and hone their line handling skills as we arrived.
On this Day of the Seafarer, @TexasMaritime is en route to Halifax on Summer Sea Term. Today we celebrate the dedicated mariners around the world, especially our Aggies! 👍 We’re proud to train the future of the blue economy and celebrate the global impact of seafarers!
Our cadets, crew, faculty and staff are having a great time exploring Northern Ireland! Today we visited the Giant’s Causeway, a historic natural rock formation featuring interlocking basalt columns formed by an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. 🌋




🚢 While we were in NYC some of our faculty, staff and crew visited @PhillyShipyard to check out the progress on the TS Lone Star State!




👋 So long, NYC! As of yesterday evening, TS Kennedy is on the way to Belfast!
