Texas Harm Reduction Alliance
@TexasHRA
Overdose prevention and harm reduction services in Austin and statewide advocacy for policies that promote the rights and dignity of people who use drugs.
Summer is COMING for us y'all. Our unhoused neighbors have little escape from the sweltering heat, but you can help us help them out by purchasing the items off our Amazon wishlist or dropping off donations to our physical location during the week.

THRA is closed this week and will reopen on Monday, July 28, to recharge and refocus on reducing drug-related trauma. We encourage participants to engage with community partners involved in harm reduction.

Overdose Awareness Day is a day we come together to honor the memories of our loved ones we have lost and celebrate the incredible resilience of those who continue to fight. Get your tickets here: buff.ly/m6IO2qW

🆘 COMMUNITY ASK 🆘 Due to recent flooding and encampment sweeps, our outreach team and drop-in center are receiving a high volume of requests for shoes, socks, and underwear for our unhoused neighbors. These essentials make a significant difference in someone’s dignity

July schedule 💜 ✨ THRA will be closed Friday July, 4th for Independence Day and July 21st- 25th for our staff wellness week ❤️🩹

Join us for live music, community, and connection as we honor lives we've lost to overdose, stand with those who are grieving and fight for those who are still living. We remember the people we’ve lost and taking action to build a future with more compassion and understanding.

Ever wonder what we do at Texas Harm Reduction Alliance? This is an overview of May, but these numbers don't show the genuine connections we have and the true love and passion we have for our people and this work 💜

In April, we welcomed a few new faces to our team who have stepped into open roles and hit the ground running. Read about them here, and if you see them out on outreach or at the Drop-In Center, don’t forget to say hi #harmreductionislove #harmreductionsaveslives

🔥 The Texas heat is intense; our outreach team feels it daily. Our A/C unit quit. We need $1,000 to replace it and keep our space cool for this life-saving work. Donate link in bio!. Every dollar helps, and sharing the link helps us a lot. Thank you in advance #HarmReduction

🦄 Behind every number is a person that we care deeply for. We serve them. We stand with them. 💜 #HarmReduction #EndOverdose #PeopleOverPunishment #NarcanSavesLives #HarmReductionSavesLives #MutualAid #ReentrySupport #OutreachMatters

Love in the Time of Fentanyl at ATX Public library. The film showcases a renegade Supervised Consumption Site in Vancouver, featuring stories of individuals who are fighting to save lives. Stay for a discussion with our ED Maggie Luna, and Capacity Building Manager, Gaby Libretti
