so today, I explored setting up splunk on my kali, got logs from secRepo and afterwards, practiced configuring initial index and ingesting sample logs. Also learnt that, while downloading logs and it ends with .gz, you will have to decompress it, in order for it to be accessed.
Task: Monitor simulated security alerts using a SIEM tool, identify suspicious activities, classify incidents 🔹 Skills Gained: Log analysis, alert triage, incident classification, SOC operations basics. 🔹 Tools:Splunk Free Trial, sample log files. @ireteeh @TemitopeSobulo
