Israel is starving Palestinians. BDS calls on all supporters to immediately escalate peaceful disruption and other forms of BDS pressure on states and the UN to force Israel to end the genocide and the siege of Gaza now.

We have never seen anything like this in modern human history and what is being allowed to be done to the Palestinians, with the complicity and permission of the entire world, ensures that the near future is filled with more of this.

To be clear, Canada acknowledges that Israel is: ⚠️ fuelling instability; ⚠️ depriving Gazans of human dignity; ⚠️ killing civilians, including children; and ⚠️ denying essential humanitarian assistance. Yet it refuses to impose meaningful consequences or restraints on Israel.

The only thing clear about Canada's message is that the minister will continue to say "we are prepared to take further action" while refusing to ever actually do so.

Canada has been on notice, since the ICJ’s order in January 2024, that it—along with all states—was under a positive obligation to take all reasonable measures to prevent genocide in Gaza. Over 1.5 years later, Canada continues to fail to take meaningful action.
