Having good fic ideas for ships with horrible fandoms is a different kind of pain. People left and right policing what you can and can’t like, what you write or don’t, how you post it, tags, pet names, sex positions, ages, everything. It’s exhausting and just—sad. It’s sad.
Loving something with an unbearable and hostile fandom is a special kind of pain. I used to love writing for and *be* in fandoms, meet people with similar hcs, preferences and ideas as mine, have community. But lately it has become hard to just… do that. It’s painful.
