Meanwhile, Democrats actually voted to adopt the amendments that stripped the felony charge for 16 and 17 year olds from the bill and added their intent to adopt stronger laws to protect them from trafficking in the future.
Looks like the California Democratic Party now has ads on Facebook claiming Republicans “voted against stronger laws protecting 16 and 17 year olds…” They actually voted against changes to a bill stating “legislative intent” which has no impact on law.
