#OTD in 1970, the Pirates honored “The Great One” with a “Roberto Clemente Night.” During the pre-game festivities, he received numerous awards. As he spoke, he became quite emotional. He even shed a tear. The fans THEN and NOW will NEVER forget what he did on and off the field.

Twenty five years ago, 2000 Baseball HOF’er, Cincinnati #Reds HOF’er, and @Talkin21podcast guest Tony Pérez was inducted into National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. That momentous occasion occurred #OTD.
