Yes. Exactly. There are almost no survey experiments showing how dehumanisation affects support for IHL violations etc.. Only simple cross-sectional surveys reinforcing beliefs.

I think a fair number of Israelis will come out of the shock and grief and be like, "wait, what on earth is my government doing" at some point, and I hope people will be compassionate nonetheless because that kind of compassion will be needed to stop further bloodshed

I love that mainstream Israeli news is even covering this now and these pieces of shit just want to pretend it's not happening.

Directly calling for the deliberate starvation of a people in whole or in part is incitement to genocide. Incitement to genocide is a crime under both U.S. and international law.

Inciting another to commit genocide is a criminal offence in the US. 18 US Code §1091, section (c)
