Looking back to May at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. So many amazing memories were created. We couldn’t have done it without @gareththomas14 @Manoj_Malde, JJH Landscapes, @GKWilsonGardens, Tisserand English Gardens Ltd, Ralph Bourdoukan @ViiVHC and of course @The_RHS.

Today is #ZeroHIVStigmaDay! The global movement was launched by NAZ and IAPAC, in collaboration with the Global HIV Collaborative and Fast-Track Cities Institute and aims to raise awareness and end HIV stigma worldwide. @ViiVHC

Discrimination comes from misinformation and misunderstanding. HIV isn’t something to be fearful of. Make sure you know the facts. @ViiVHC

Even today, there is still not enough education about HIV. This is why we need to do more together to help share the correct information and dispel the myths that contribute to the stigma around the virus. @ViiVHC

Last month the Tackle HIV team took on the Snowdonia Ten Peak Challenge to show that living with HIV does not stop people achieving incredible things and to combat stigma. @gareththomas14 was joined by Tackle HIV supporters including @SallyGunnell and @gutter_bunny ⁣ @ViiVHC

There’s always someone who can help. Whether that be a friend, relative or organisation, you can get the support you need to challenge HIV stigma. You’re not alone! @ViiVHC

"Speak to someone, even if it's a stranger." In the latest episode of the Talking Stigma podcast @KeeganHirst spoke about the importance of talking to someone for support when you’re struggling. Listen to the full podcast now. @ViiVHC

Stigma can have a devastating effect on people living with HIV, on their mental wellbeing, quality of life and also their physical health – stigma may prevent people from disclosing their status or getting treatment. So please, show your support and help us #TackleHIV @ViiVHC

Spread the word – HIV is not a death sentence! Effective medication makes the viral load undetectable, allowing those living with the virus to lead healthy lives with a normal life expectancy. @ViiVHC

As @gareththomas14 says, if a heterosexual friend of his acquired HIV they might be most worried about people assuming they were gay. HIV can affect anyone, not just homosexual men. But stigma around HIV and sexuality still exists, which is very harmful. @ViiVHC

Getting tested for HIV is so important. It’s the only way to know your status. If you don’t want to go to your local GP or sexual health clinic to get checked, you can order a confidential home testing kit online: freetesting.hiv @ViiVHC

The support we give others is so important 🫶 Standing together helps challenge the discrimination which still exists in society today 🙌⁣ @ViiVHC

To stop stigma we need to share the facts:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ HIV is a manageable virus 2️⃣ Effective medication makes the virus undetectable which means you can’t pass it on to sexual partners⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ People living with HIV on effective medication can live long healthy lives ⁣ @ViiVHC
