Tasmanian MP 🌿
Truely horrifying statistics. Indeed why we need to do things differently. Support for our proposal to establish a Joint Standing Committee in the new parliament is overwhelming - so let’s get on with it, let’s see Tasmania step up on eliminating FD&S violence in our community

Yesterday the #politas Premier was condemning the idea of supporting farmers to reduce livestock emissions - despite the fact his own govt has identified them as having “the largest potential to reduce emissions of all current opportunities for Tasmania” and has policies to do so
Rates of gendered violence are far too high in Tasmania. Much more needs to be done & fast. In the next Parliament the Greens will move to establish a Joint Standing Committee for the prevention of family, domestic & sexual violence edition.pagesuite.com/popovers/dynam…

the job
It’s a terrible slogan. No government should ever “finish the job”. We don’t even know what “the job” is?
Imagine being #politas Premier & spending the last weekend of an election on baseless scaremongering rather than actual issues.. Now imagine you find out after speaking to the media that the policy you’re trying to scare people about actually matches your own.. Bit mortifying?
This is an extremely embarrassing own goal for the Liberals. The policy they are attacking the Greens for actually matches their own plan for farmers. Whoopsie!! #politas (See next tweet for comparison)

St Mary’s today-Brilliant community work 💕It’s one thing to finally hear that a new bus is on the way, but when? Where is the process at? A replacement for 32yo ‘Luna’ should’ve been completed, not underway. This must be resolved as an urgent priority. abc.net.au/news/2025-07-0…

Kudos Invasive Species Council et al for tonight’s candidate forum. Not seriously tackling invasives is a huge enviro & economic mistake- We must see proper long term funding & management plans prioritised by the new Gov🌿 & fab to see @HelenBurnet1 & landcare legends Pete & Bill

Turning the state’s finances around requires us to stop doing dumb stuff with our money. But we also have to bring in more of it. Royalties on industries making huge profits from our state’s assets aren’t only fair, they’re necessary to support essential services into the future
I hope Paul Lennon will also release figures regarding Govt support for his mining venture at Campbell Town. How much did it owe Tas Rail in ‘take or pay’ contract before Premier Gutwein wrote it off? #politas tasmanianinquirer.com.au/news/tasmanias…
