🌱 Current methods for developing climate-tolerant plants are slow or restricted by GMO laws. Project TOLERATE offers a new solution: bioaugmentation with improved rhizosphere bacteria to support plants under drought conditions. Let's boost resilience together!

🌱 Project TOLERATE aims to make the rhizo-microbiome future-fit by engineering soil bacteria to produce biomolecules aiding climate adaptation. These bioinoculants support plant growth during drought, aligning with the European Green Deal goals.

🌍Permafrost preserves DNA over geological timescales, storing data on climate adaptations. TOLERATE is unlocking the secrets of ancient Arctic soil to understand how plants adapted to climate change. To study these eco-physiological changes, we'll use DNA samples over 700k y-o.
