The authors posit that 4 theories contribute to a deeper understanding of responsiveness: Complex Adaptive Systems, Human Agency, Health Equity, Justice and Social Accountability, and Cultural Capital. #realistmethods
Their proposed theory highlights that favourable social & organisational contexts can trigger: A sense of agency Health literacy Empowerment These factors enhance both people’s ability to engage with the system and the system’s ability to respond to their expectations.
